When the truck is shut off the gauge goes well past full. I just filled the tank to run the Techron fuel system cleaner, the gauge read slightly over the "F" full mark and took 10.5 gallons. Here are two pics with the full tank of gas. With the truck NOT running see the gauge reading Full. With the truck RUNNING see the gauge WELL OVER FULL.

I have the same issue in my 2006 envoy xl. The only issue I have is the middle actuator seams to not have a white gear in it when I pull it off. If I pull the white gear off the actuator it fits perfectly on the metal post.
